i know there are added perks when you become a married couple and maybe even some notsuchperks  but i hope, whenever i do end up with someone and whomever i do end up with, the nights of renting a movie and going home early and then ending up just lying there talking + giggling yourselves to sleep, never end. because those nights are my favorite. i don't expect much, i am quite simple. and i realized that today, i don't have a lot of expectations. i have a lot of hopes. and hope is always a good thing. i think hope is what makes me such a dreamer.

ferry rides+a waffle cone

we took the ferry to governor's island today to watch the polo match. prince harry was there and there was lots of wine and sun hats. maybe our expectations were a little high about the experience in general ... or maybe it just wasn't anywhere near as refreshing as our bike ride along the pier tonight. good company is all you need to make the experience worthwhile. it was worthwhile. it was a good day.

A: him coming home a day early from a business trip and surprising you in real life.

four years ago i graduated high school. and it is just crazy to think that means i have spent just as much time out of high school as i spent in it. i would not have ever believed anyone if they would have told me i would be where i am now in my life, just how i got here, and all that happened along the way. and i kinda like that. i kind of really like that.

...that life is just a bunch of surprises waiting to explode in your face when you least expect it.
