one of my best friends in the city started her own line with two best friends a little over a year ago. HARVEY FAIRCLOTH, and they just launched their new spring collection! their clothes are amazing and they've been getting awesome press. i love love love it! so darling!

i love we made pasta + cute cupcakes with pink frosting and brownie hearts on top while having girl talk.

i love the boys'  fortunes they wrote that were awesome and then that we (girls) wrapped them in cookies.

i love that we all laughed until we literally cried playing the most ridiculous games ever and talking nonsense all night long.

i love that my stomach still hurt when i woke up this morning from laughing.

i love this city.

i love my job.

i love riding the train everyday to work listening to good mu-sic.

i love being twenty-one and single

i love having crushes.

i love having sisters and mom to text ridiculous messages at 2 am about crushes.

i love my soft bed.

living the dream

it's that time of year again! and as fashion week quickly approaches all the models come in to get their hair colored for the big shows.  the girls are stunning and doing their color is always so fun.  we'll see most of our work once that photos from the shows are posted. until then,  here is a little of what we've been up to recently...

one of the two amazing colorists i work under, Larry, colored a wig that is featured on the upcoming march cover of  Numero Tokyo's cover and beautiful spread inside. you must check it out, i can't stop looking at how pretty it all is.

we are also pretty excited about his work in all the spring/summer Gucci ad campagin that just launched.

what i learned today

• i am not strong enough to move the giant hutch off my desk into the hallway. within sixty seconds of trying, there was a giant BOOM on the floor, my computer + candles went tumbling off, gash out of the wall, and my poor mouse was crushed. next time i will make sure to not be shy and just call the hot neighbor to help.
•  if you don't have enough hangers for clothes- buy more hangers. if you don't have enough closet space for hangers with clothes- move. right?
• if you think you are going to get off work early to  join the rest of new york city for a snow day, do not get your hopes too high, because they will plummet when you when you realize women will trek through snow storms to get their hairs colored... literally. 
• and lastly, just because your roommate takes some weird pill that reads on the front something about improving your mood does not mean that she is going to be happy.

rubi and i got brunch today. i miss running up and down the stairs @bumble for just a few minutes of girl talk or however many we could squeeze in between the chaos. she is one of my prettiest, most creative, and best friends i have. i just love her.  that's all. 

nonsense

i saw this before i hopped on the subway today on my way to work and i just can't seem to make any sense of it. can you please help me?

just a few of my to-do's

• drink more water. when i drink out of a water bottle i tend to drink more. i am not one of those water connoisseurs.  i think it all tastes the same (hose water included)  unless of course your drinking the water from my grandma's house, that is special water that you plug your nose and chug down as a last resort.  of course i buy smart water anyways, because it's the cool thing to do. and who doesn't want to be cool?
• write more love letters. i missed my little ones so much last spring i started writing love letters and sending sweet somethings through the mail. it was such a treat getting letters back. i have a little treasure box filled with all the cute words my little carl and g wrote to me. yes, some look blank but  (whisper: they're written in invisible ink) 
• sew more pretty things.  my sweet mom flew out last spring and we created some darling curtains to shade my windows. i just love them and love sewing. my new roommate was the TA for a BYU sewing class for a few years and has offered to teach me a few tricks. i am going to call myself lucky, dust off my sewing machine, and be inspired.
