in new york city we do not have washers and dryers in our apartments. if we're lucky, they're in the basement of the building. i'm lucky.
sometimes...
other times i try doing laundry too late and they have no sympathy that i am a spaz about my sheets and have to clean them every week. sometimes i'm too busy to do laundry every week so i bought a second pair of sheets just for this reason- that i needed to change my sheets but didn't have time to wash them. but... i was busy last week too, which meant two busy weeks in a row. and since the laundry room closes at nine- both pairs of sheets are locked up.
hmph.
on the upside, it was another awesome weekend in the city! another roof party and another sunday barbecue. fall is coming and the weather has been perfect. the party view was quite spectacular! this picture is just what you saw when you looked over the edge lots of stories up up up, reflection and all, its central park's lake. breathtaking really and after an exhausting two weeks of prepping for fashion week and then fashion week itself i left early to go home and sleep. but only after stood and chatted with my friend for a little admiring the pretty city i live in. i love it. i love it so so much. someone asked me the other day, 'if you could be anything you wanted and anywhere in the world, where would you be and what would you be doing?'
this. i would be right here doing just this. i really wouldn't rather be anywhere in the whole world than right where i am. i am living my dreams and so much than i ever could have dreamed. really, it's silly how blessed i am. i have learned so much about myself and so much about life. i sincerely believe with all my heart you can be anything you want to be. your life truly is what you make it and if just follow your heart, and dream BIG you'll find yourself smiling in some pretty unexpected places and constantly catching your breath. you have to believe in yourself, and you have to be willing to take a chance. someone told me once 'you can't ever discover new horizons without the courage to lose sight of the shore'
its scary, it is the scariest ever. but you won't ever learn to fly unless you take that really big leap of faith. i am so in love with you new york city. sheet thief and all. thanks for being so perfect to me. <3
